Proper wheel alignment is an important part of automobile upkeep. A bad car alignment can make your tires work against each another and can wear down your tires rapidly. Here are three signs that indicate your vehicle has lost its good wheel alignment:

1. Vibration: Poor car alignment causes the wheels to pull against one another. The result of this can be a vibration while driving. This typically occurs when you hit a certain speed, so take note as you speed up. If you notice that you car is shaking as you drive, it may be time to get your alignment checked.

2. Pulling to One Side: If your car's tires are out of alignment, you may notice that the vehicle pulls to the right or left. Without actively turning your steering wheel, you may notice your car drifting off in one direction, causing you to constantly correcting and straightening your car out. Correcting your wheel alignment will allow all four tires to point in the same direction again, fixing the pulling problem.

3. Uneven Tire Wear: If your car alignment needs correcting, your tires will show different wear patterns. Two main types of uneven wear is caused by misalignment. The first is called feathering. If you run your hand along your tire tread, you'll notice a round edge on one side, and a sharp edge on the other. The second type of uneven tread wear is called toe wear. If your car's wheels are misaligned, you will notice increased wear on the inside shoulder of your tires. The side facing the wheel well will have a smoother strip around it.

Getting your alignment checked and adjusted regularly can help you to avoid these common car problems and can keep your car in good health for much longer.
